3.8. billion
people were transported by plane last year. This means that one in 2 people
traveled somewhere in the past year. From time to time we all feel like we’re
stuck in one place and that our life lacks adventure. Sometimes all you really
need is to get out there and start exploring the miraculous attractions the
world has to offer.
1. The hands
of the Golden Bridge in Da Nang, Vietnam
This is the
brand new Golden Bridge in Da Nang, Vietnam that opened to the public this past
June. It resembles something that looks like it came out of a surrealist
painting — it’s made of 2 giant hands holding it together from one side to the
other! It took approximately a year to construct and it is a place that should
be on everyone’s bucket list!
2.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, China
This
eccentric and delicate forest is the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and it is
the first authorized national park in China. It features magical, dramatic
peaks that look like they just came out of a fantasy movie. With the
sub-tropical climate in Asia, it is warm during the winter and cool during the
summer which makes it an ideal attraction for any traveler, all year around. 98%
of the forest is covered with vegetation and it is home to more than 700 animal
species.
3. Beachy
Head, United Kingdom
Descending
above the clouds, anyone can admire the tall white wall that meets the waters
of the North Sea. The view from the cliff is the sight of a lifetime that will
make any adventurer put this place first on their traveling journey, especially
if they love heights and beautiful sunsets.
4. Hamilton
Pool Preserve — Texas, US
This
stunning visual spectacle is a result of the natural erosion and collapse of an
underground river thousands of years ago. It created the beautiful waterfalls
that lead to the turquoise waters of the Hamilton Pool Preserve. It is a place
that attracts swimmers that live or visit Austin during the summer for a nice
refreshing bath.
5. Hinatuan
Enchanted River, Surigao del Sur, Philippines
Located on
Mindanao Island in the Philippines, the Hinatuan Enchanted River flows through
both the Philippine Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The unique colors that appear in
its waters and the depth that has remained unexplored to this day has inspired
various local legends about fairies magically giving the sapphire and jade
colors to the river.
6. Northern
Lake Baikal, Russia
At first
glance, this picture looks like an ice sculpture that was broken on a frozen
lake, but when you swipe to the right you will realize that it is one of the
most beautiful sights you have ever seen. Located in Siberia, Northern Lake
Bailak is the largest freshwater lake in the world and it contains more than
20% of the Earth’s freshwater. The turquoise color of the water creates amazing
phenomena during winter when it freezes. It’s said to have the clearest water
in the world.
7.
Travertine pools and terraces at Pamukkale, Turkey
These warm
travertine terraces and limpid pools that look like marble waterfalls are
located in Pamukkale in Turkey. They are filled with carbonated mineral water
and due to their location in the inner Aegean region, they keep the same
temperature all year long.
